In June of 2001, the head of our print analysis team, who had been experimenting with alternate methods of producing our flexographic plates, came across some startling information. What he had found, was that by making changes to the manufacturing process, the plate that was produced had steeper shoulders, greater relief depth and subsequently, could produce finer detail, more highlights and much less dot gain than a conventional plate.

Patented Quality

After a great deal more research and testing, in the Fall of 2004, PRPFlexo was granted a patent on this new method of plate manufacture which we called ExSpect®. The rest, as they say, is history. Since that time, our customers have been experiencing the benefits of our advanced plates on a variety of print substrates and many different press types, all with outstanding results.

What About Digital?

During the testing of our plates, we wanted to compare the print quality against not only conventional flexographic plates, but also against conventional digital plates. The results were astonishing.

We found that our plates not only held a 1% dot better than a conventional digital plate, but the dot tips of the ExSpect® plate were completely flat, while the digital plate dot tips were rounded. This in turn meant that when it came time to go to press, much fewer adjustments needed to be made until the best result was achieved.

What Does That Mean to Me?

The bottom-line is that you will get a better result in your printing. This in turn can lead to greater customer satisfaction, sales increases, and with fewer adjustments needing to be made on press. You can save money and a whole lot of time.
